The Fall 2009 Travel Coaches Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 30th beginning at 7:30 PM at the Old Commissioners Building on 500 South Kansas in Weslaco (across the Public Library). The projected start date for the season is September 12 - 13, 2009.
The Rio Valley Travel League will consist of Division One, II, III and IV. Division One and Super II Registration will be done through Rio Valley. Teams participating in a Western District Schedule must meet a District August 1st Deadline. Contact Joe Bazan immediately. Teams registering directly with WDDOA must meet WDDOA’s requirements. Division II and III will go through your club registrar and the fees will be set by the clubs.
Additionally, teams attending a tournament held after September 1st will need 2009 – 2010 Player Cards and a Blue Kid Safe Pass.
Please review the dates:
- D- One, Super II and D- II teams must submit a Commitment to Play Form by 08/15/09.
- D- One and Super II teams must include a $ 125.00 fall team fee along with CTP Form.
- Registration Forms are due ASP but each team must have submitted 12 players by 08/15/09. Individual players may continue to register after this date.
- All select teams must submit an initial roster of 12 paid players by 08/15/09.
- D- III and IV CTP Forms and rosters must be submitted by 09/10/09.
- All Rio Valley rosters are frozen as 10/01/09. No player adds or transfers will be allowed for playoff eligible teams.

Registration Forms are available through your local club, Mr. Abel Campos, Mr. Joe Bazan or Mr. Pablo Hernandez. Division One and Super II Registration forms and applicable fees need to be delivered to Mr. Campos or Mr. Bazan to be considered registered.
Effective this 2009 Fall Season only Under 11 and Under 12 teams registered in Division SII, II and III and playing in an 8 v 8 playing format will have District and/or State playoffs. The maximum number of players for these teams will change this season and shall be a maximum of 14.
Last year’s Under 11 teams that were formed and played 11 v 11 playing format in either the Fall 2008 or Spring 2009 season will be permitted to return as an Under 12 team participating in an 11 v 11 format through the end of the Spring 2010 season. Returning teams must roster 50% + 1 of the previous players from the final roster of the last season that they participated in as an Under 11 team using the 11 v 11 format to qualify as an Under 12 team this upcoming seasonal year. Additionally, teams need to understand that there will not be any fall or spring playoffs offered for Under 12 teams that are playing in an 11 v 11 playing format.
