RIO VALLEY YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION 2008 Kohl’s American Cup
When & Where: March 15 and 16, 2008 at the COMBES Municipal Park on Hand Rd.
Format: During the Tournament, U- 5 & U-6 games consist of two-12 minute halves.  U- 7 & U-8 games consist of two-15 minute halves.  U- 9 & U-10 games will consist of two 20-minute halves.  The U-11 and U-12 Boys games will consist of two 25-minute halves.  In all games there is a 5-minute halftime.

Tournament Check-In

Check-in for each team will be at the fields one hour prior to the team’s first match at the fields.  A copy of the team’s roster and player ID’s needs to be presented at the Check-In.

Player Credentials:

All players must have valid ID cards and be listed on the home club roster to be allowed to compete in games.  Guest players are allowed as specified in the rules.  Player passes must be available for inspection by tournament officials or referees at anytime during the event.  Each coach must have a Kid Safe pass which should be displayed throughout the tournament.

Scoring: No standings will be kept.  At the completion of the final match, each team will proceed to the tournament headquarters and receive an award.
Playing Time: Please remember that each coach must make every effort to play each registered player that is present at least one-half of each game unless unable to do so because of discipline, illness, or injury.
Game Start Time: Team need to ready to play at game time.  The maximum number of players on the field for U-11 & 12 games is eleven with a minimum of seven.  The maximum number of players for an Under- 9 and 10 games is eight with a minimum of six.
Game Ball: Each team shall furnish a game ball.  U- 5 through U- 8 Age Groups use a size 3 ball.  U- 9 through U-12 Age Groups use a size 4 ball.
Conduct: All coaches are responsible for the conduct of their team, parents and supporters.  Inappropriate conduct such as the use of the foul or obscene language, negative comments to the opposing team or players, or abusive or threatening conduct towards a referee, whether verbal or physical, will not be tolerated and can result in an ejection or even a forfeiture.
Home Team: Teams listed first on the schedule is the home team.  The home team will change jerseys in case of color conflict or when requested by the referee.
Tournament Officials reserves the right and has the authority to rule on any situation not specifically listed above.
