Just Announced -
The Khol's American Cup Recreational Soccer Tournament will return to Combes, TX on March 15 - 16, 2008. This will be the second year Rio Valley will host this soccer "festival". Aside from soccer matches, other interactive skill contests will be held for all players to enjoy.

Rio Valley will host an "E" Coaching License at the Edinburg Parks and Recreation Building, 315 E. Palm Ave, Edinburg, TX. The sessions begin on March 14th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Both the Saturday and Sunday sessions are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The fee is $ 75.00 per participant. Contact Gilberto Rico, e-mail: grico2162@aol.com or Cell; (956) 592-1395 to register. Coaches who have coached more than year are required to have completed an age appropriate STYSA Coaching License. The "E" License is a requirement for all coaches coaching U13 or older team. Failure to acquire this license will disqualify a coaching from being able to coach their team.

The Rio Valley Youth Soccer Association (RVYSA) is a Texas Not-for-Profit, 501c(3) Tax Exempt Corporation organized in 1983 for purposes that are charitable, educational and athletic, and includes the teaching of good sportsmanship, the educating of youth participants and adult sponsors in the fundamentals of soccer; the promotion of soccer through sponsorship of regularly scheduled youth soccer competitions.
RYVSA is affiliated with the South Texas Youth Soccer Association and the United States Youth Soccer Association, the official youth soccer organization for the United States Soccer Association. Over 5,000 boys and girls between four and eighteen years of age from around the Rio Grande Valley enjoy the fun and exercise of soccer each fall and spring.
The Edinburg Youth Soccer Club, McAllen Youth Soccer Association, Mid Valley Youth Soccer Club, Arroyo Youth Soccer Club, Rio Bravo Youth Soccer Club and the Brownsville Opportunity Youth Soccer Association are local Rio Valley affiliated organizations that constitute the member of our Rio Valley Youth Soccer Association. |
